3 Tips For Making Sure Your Guests Stay Cool During Your Ceremony

Summer is the height of wedding season for a good reason. All the flowers are in bloom, it’s beautiful outside, and it’s warm. However, sometimes summer weddings can get extremely hot. Here are a few tips for keeping your wedding party and your wedding guests cool in the sun during your ceremony and your reception.

Provide Fans To Cool Down With

If you are going to have your ceremony outside, your guests will not be able to get up and get out of the sun during your ceremony without being rude. Show your guests that you appreciate them sitting in the sun by providing them with fans to cool off with.

If you want to get creative, you can have your wedding program printed on hand fans. If you want to keep it simpler, you can order some basic hand fans in bulk from online and place one on every seat. Just make sure you provide your guests with something to keep them cool if your ceremony is going to be hot.

Provide Bottled Water

Most guests are probably not going to think about bringing a water bottle with them to a wedding. If you know it will be really hot on the day you plan on getting married, along with a fan, place a small bottle of water at each chair.

The bottles don’t have to be big; they just have to provide enough water to get your guests through the ceremony without feeling like they need to get up and get out of the sun.

You can pick up some small water bottles at a fairly decent price at your local warehouse store; they just have to be big enough to last the length of your ceremony.

Put Up A Tent

You don’t have to get married under a tent; however, you could easily rent and set up a tent that will cover the area where your guests will be sitting. This is an easy way to ensure that your guests will be in the shade during your ceremony. If you know your ceremony is going to be long, or if you know you will have a lot of elderly guests in attendance at your wedding, this can be a very considerate option.

Just leave some room between the tent and where you and your future spouse will be standing. That way, you can get married in the sun while your guests enjoy the shade.

If you plan on having your ceremony outside on a hot day this summer, make sure you provide your guests with something to cool down with and with some water during your ceremony. That way, everyone will be comfortable while you exchange your vows with your soon-to-be spouse. For further assistance, contact a local wedding venue, such as Elmcrest Banquets by Biancalana.
